Central Women’s Division Majlis-e-Shura Session held

Jamaat Ameer calls for working towards victory in the national election

-Dr. Shafiqur Rahman

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Ameer, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said: “By Allah’s special mercy, Islami Chhatrashibir has achieved victory in the DUCSU and JUCSU elections. Many have been astonished by this victory. The impact of this election will also be felt in the upcoming national election, Insha’Allah. We hope to contest all 300 constituencies in the next election along with those who like us, love us, and whom we like and love. To achieve victory in that election, I am making a fervent appeal to everyone to extend all kinds of assistance and cooperation, including financial sacrifices.”

He made these remarks today, September 20 (Saturday), while addressing as the chief guest at the Central Women’s Division Majlis-e-Shura session of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, held at Al-Falah Auditorium in Moghbazar, Dhaka.

He further said: “Through much struggle, sacrifice, and hardship, we attained a new Bangladesh on August 5, 2024. During the July-August movement of 2024, many gave their lives. Many lost their hands, legs, or eyes. In return for our collective sacrifice, Allah granted us a great victory. I pray that Allah grants us all the due reward of those sacrifices both in this world and in the Hereafter.”

The day-long session was presided over by Central Women’s Division Secretary, Muhtarama Nurunnisa Siddiqua. A keynote paper on ‘The Political Situation and the National Election 2026’ was presented by the organization’s Secretary General, former MP Professor Mia Golam Porwar. A Darsul Qur’an was delivered by Assistant Secretary General Maulana Abdul Halim. Among others, Assistant Secretary General Maulana ATM Masum, members of the Central Women’s Division Executive Council, and elected Shura members from across the country were present on the occasion. The session also discussed various organizational matters, including the presentation of the six-monthly report.

After a long illness, Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah for being able to address the Central Women’s Division Majlis-e-Shura session, saying: “Both illness and health are blessings of Allah. We must show gratitude for Allah’s blessings.”

He said: “During the past 15 and a half years of fascist rule, many people were killed, many becane injured, and many were forced to leave the country. Many are still under medical treatment in an ailing condition—we pray for their recovery. May Allah accept all our sacrifices and grant us all high status.”

Jamaat Ameer said: “Allah tests people in various ways through trials and hardships. Those who can succeed in Allah’s test are the ones whom Allah rewards with His pleasure. After Prophet Ibrahim (A.S.) successfully passed the test of sacrificing his beloved son by Allah’s command, and subsequently Allah bestowed upon him a great reward. In the Holy Qur’an, Allah declared him the father of the Muslim Ummah.

Our leaders endured various kinds of imprisonment, oppression, and torture under the Awami fascist government with patience. Many have sacrificed their lives. In return for their sacrifices, today we have the opportunity to work in a free and independent environment. Our duty is to fulfill our responsibilities. The Owner of the results is Allah Almighty. We must be grateful to Allah. We must not boast with overexcitement. We must be humble. We must be servants of the people. And we must seek help and assistance from Allah.”
