Assistant Secretary General and Chief Election Commissioner responsible for conducting the internal elections of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Maulana ATM Masum announced the results of the organization’s ‘Ameer’ election last night, Saturday, 1 November.
It is worth noting that voting was conducted through secret ballots from 9 October to 25 October among members (Rukuns) across the country. After the voting process was completed, the responsible team counted the votes. Last night, Saturday, 1 November, the Chief Election Commissioner formally announced the results of the organization’s ‘Ameer’ election. According to the results, Dr. Shafiqul Rahman has been elected as the ‘Ameer’ of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami for the 2026–2028 term, having received the highest number of votes.
