On 16 September (Tuesday) at 10 a.m., His Excellency Mr. Yao Wen, the Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh, paid a courtesy call on Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami's Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman at his office in Bashundhara. He was accompanied by Mr. Zhang Jing, Director of the Political Wing of the Embassy. The meeting was held in a very cordial and friendly atmosphere.

Jamaat's Secretary General and former Member of Parliament Professor Mia Golam Porwar, Assistant Secretary General and Head of the Central Publicity and Media Department Advocate Ahsanul Mahboob Zubair, and Jamaat Ameer’s Adviser on Foreign Affairs Professor Dr. Mahmudul Hasan were present at the meeting.

During the discussion, they exchanged views openly on issues of mutual interest between the two countries. Both sides expressed the hope that in the coming days, the economic, political, commercial, diplomatic, and friendly relations between the two nations, as well as the trajectory of bilateral development and progress, will be further strengthened.
