On Thursday evening, September 11, at an elite hotel in Baridhara, Dhaka, His Excellency Archbishop Kevin Randall, the Apostolic Nuncio (Ambassador of the Vatican), hosted a reception on the occasion of the Pope’s Feast celebration.

Secretary General of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and former Member of Parliament Professor Mia Golam Porwar attended the event. On behalf of Jamaat-e-Islami’s honorable Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, he formally handed over a message of congratulations to His Excellency Archbishop Kevin Randall, the Apostolic Nuncio. In the congratulatory message, expectations were expressed for mutual respect between Muslim and Christian communities, peaceful coexistence, the establishment of a just society, and joint efforts for the welfare of global humanity.

The event was attended by diplomats from various countries, political leaders, and distinguished members of civil society. On this occasion, the Jamaat Secretary General exchanged greetings with representatives from different diplomatic circles. They expressed optimism that such initiatives would play a significant role in fostering mutual relations and establishing global peace.
