A meeting of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami was held presided by its Secretary General Dr. Shafiqur Rahman to facilitate the relief activities among the flood victims. The presence of the meet expressed deep concern due to passivity of the government in tackling the ongoing flood situation. The meet also decided to expedite the relief activities of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami in the flood affected areas.

The meeting also formed 5 teams on behalf of Jamaat-e-Islami to visit, to conduct and monitor the relief activities. The team members will visit the flood areas soon and observe and monitor party’s relief activities.

The meeting also urged the government to provide fertilizers, seeds and interest free loans among the victim farmers immediate after the flood situation improves.
