No opposite law cannot sustain in the country. All citizens should be given equal rights. All offices of Jamaat-e-Islami including its central office must be reopened. Jamaat-e-Islami must be allowed to operate organizational and political activities. Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Acting Ameer and former lawmaker Professor Mujibur Rahman said this while virtually addressing a workers’ conference organized by Dinajpur south organizational district on 8th June.
He further said the incumbent government is playing dirty games with the rights of the people. Public lives and properties are not secured. People have no voting rights. The countrymen are eagerly waiting for the departure of this government. So, we have to intensify the ongoing movement to press the demand for restoring caretaker government in a bid to facilitate a free, fair, and credible election. The government has to meet this demand. There is no way to make a compromise in this regard.
He said, Dinajpur South organizational district is a potential area. We have to play a pivotal role to secure the victory of our nominee Md. Anwarul Islam.
He instructed the Jamaat activists to study the Quran, Hadith, and Islamic literature. He pressed them to remain firm on the path of the Islamic movement and also to nurture the spirit of martyrdom. Finally, he urged the government to release all detained leaders and activists of Jamaat-e-Islami including party’s Ameer Dr.Shafiqur Rahman, and also to release the religious scholars immediately.
Addressing the program as the special guest, Assistant Secretary General and Rangpur-Dinajpur region’s coordinator Maulana Abdul Halim said, we have to spread Dawah activities to secure victory in the next parliamentary election. We have to strengthen the ongoing movement for restoring the caretaker government. The final hour of this tyrannical government has come. So, they are behaving and talking recklessly. He urged all the manpower to build themselves and also to build their families and societies.
Islami Chhatrashibir’s former central president and Dhaka south city’s Assistant Secretary Delwar Hossain said we have to remain active by sacrificing lives, properties, and times. We have to engage ourselves in the Islamic movement and the efforts for building an Islamic society. District Ameer Md. Anwarul Islam thanked all the guests of the conference including the Acting Ameer sincerely.
