Unelected government cannot stand high, says Hamidur Rahman Azad

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Assistant Secretary General and former MP AHM Hamidur Rahman Azad said, the authoritarian regime has hijacked the voting rights of the people and captured the office by holding a dummy and fake election. But an unelected government cannot stand high. The government has created a panic atmosphere in all sectors including education and culture. As per the directives of the neighboring state, the government has inserted pro-Hindu elements in the textbooks and destroyed the Islamic issues. Misrule, corruption, money laundering and price hikes have made the public lives critical. Under the circumstance, we have to continue movement with the assistance of the members and general masses.

He said, as members, we have to set examples of dedication and sacrifice at all levels. Jamaat members have to read out Quran and Hadith regularly. We have to elevate our standard both in knowledge and pure deeds.

Hamidur Rahman Azad said this while addressing the members’ conference organized by Dinajpur south organizational district Jamaat-e-Islami. Central Majlish-e-Shura member and Dinajpur south organizational district Ameer Anwarul Islam presided over the conference. Jamaat’s Assistant Secretary General Maulana Abdul Halim, central working committee members Maulana Momtaz Uddin and professor Mahbubur Rahman Belal spoke at the conference as special guests.

Maulana Abdul Halim said, in the torture and repression of last 15 years, our 11 top leaders and 3 hundred leaders and activists have been martyred. Despite such oppression, Jamaat-e-Islami could not be perished rather its position has been strengthened.
