Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Nayeb-e-Ameer and former MP Maulana Shamsul Islam said, as a Muslim we are not working for any worldly interest, rather for establishing Islam. Our obligation is to build ourselves as skilled manpower in accordance with the member’s oath. We should increase our knowledge. Islamic literatures must be read out sincerely. We should know our history, our ideology and updated information. We have to acquire 5 basic skills. They are, similarity between our words and works, to have a balance in temperament, we should exercise good manners and a generous mind. Similarly, we should keep ourselves away from searching other’s faults, vulgar conversations, ego, arrogance and price. To acquire organizational skill, we should act as a good preacher, good organizer to produce better leadership, to become public representative and social worker.
Maulana Shamsul Islam said this while addressing Thakurgaon district Jamaat’s annual members’ conference today. District Ameer Maulana Abdul Hakim presided over the conference which was hosted by district secretary Md. Alamgir.
Jamaat’s Assistant Secretary General Maulana Abdul Halim, central working committee members Maulana Momtaz Uddin and professor Mahbubur Rahman Belal and Bangladesh Islami Chhatrashibir’s former central president and Dhaka south city Jamaat’s Assistant secretary Delwar Hossain spoke at the conference as special guests.
