Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Assistant Secretary General and Bogra region’s coordinator Maulana Rafiqul Islam Khan has said, at present the leaders should play their due roles properly. The nation is crossing a crucial period now. There is no rule of law, human rights and justice in the country. The national economy is at the verge of collapse. The banks are crying for money. The reserve of Bangladesh bank is reducing consistently. The law-and-order situation is also suffering miserably. Under the circumstances, the incumbent government which has come to the power through a dummy election, has no right to stay in power. I am urging the government to arrange another election under the caretaker government in order to facilitate the establishment of the pro-people government.
He said this while addressing a workshop of the working committee members of Bogra west organizational district today. Jamaat’s central Majlish-e-Shura member and district Ameer Principal Maulana Abdul Haq Sarkar presided over the program which was hosted by central Majlish-e-Shura member and district secretary Monjurul Islam Raju.
Maulana Rafiqul Islam Khan also said that the holy month of Ramadan is knocking at the door. But still the prices of all essential commodities are on the rise. The middle and low-income people are terribly suffering to manage their food. He urged the government to maintain the food qualities and also to keep the food prices within the people’s capacity.
Addressing the working committee members, he said you have to play strong role to strengthen the organization. You should be prepared for the movement of the upcoming days. The Islamic movement leaders and workers should play pivotal role to protect the nation.
Among others, Bogra regional team member Professor Nazrul Islam, Sirajganj district Ameer Maulana Shahinur Alam, district Nayeb-e-Ameer Maulana Momtaz Uddin, Maulana Abdul Hakim, Maulana Abdul Momin and Maulana Tayeb Ali addressed the program.
