Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Acting Secretary General Maulana ATM Masum said, one point movement’s program will be declared soon.
There is no existence of human rights, the rule of law, civic rights, and justice in the country now. A fair and credible election can not be held under the incumbent oppressor regime. The government will be forced to declare the next parliament election under the caretaker government. I am urging the countrymen to take all out preparation for taking part in this movement. He said this while addressing a conference of the Comilla-Noakhali region on Tuesday.
Maulana ATM Masum further said that the incumbent fascist government has deprived the countrymen of all basic rights. The United States of America has imposed a restriction on issuing visas due to misdeeds of the government. The government has to take its liabilities.
He claimed that the people of Bangladesh are not keen to see this government anymore. They want to see a pro-people government through a fair election. Jamaat-e-Islami has been sincerely trying to establish such a government. Former Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami and language movement hero, Professor Ghulam Azam Rahimahullah had presented the concept of caretaker government. Awami League also came to the office through an election, held under the caretaker government. Now, they do not want the system as they are keen to stay in office unjustifiably.
Acting Secretary General stated that leadership should be fearful of Allah. Jamaat-e-Islami is working to produce such leadership. The government has arrested Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman as they became reckless to see such an endeavor of Jamaat-e-Islami. He demanded the immediate release of detained leaders, religious scholars, opposition leaders, and activists.
Comilla-Noakhali region’s assistant coordinator and Comilla city Ameer Kazi Deen Mohammad hosted the conference which was also addressed by regional team member Abdus Sattar, Comilla South district Ameer Advocate Mohammad Shahjahan, and Comilla North district Ameer Professor Abdul Matin.
