A half-yearly members’ conference of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Rangpur city was held on 19th August. Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Assistant Secretary General Maulana Abdul Halim joined the program virtually as the chief guest and made the aforesaid comments.
Rangpur city Ameer and Jamaat’s central Majlish-e-Shura member ATM Azam Khan presided over the program which was hosted by city Secretary Maulana Obaidullah Salafi.
Among others, Jamaat’s working committee member Professor Mahbubur Rahman Belal, and Thakurgaon district Ameer Maulana Abdul Hakim addressed the conference.
Maulana Abdul Halim said Jamaat’s all leaders and activists should try to serve people on all occasions. Recalling the victims of repression and persecution, he said, despite the worst ever torture and oppression, our leaders were bold and did not make any compromise. Similarly, we have to uphold steel-like firm faith and have to move forward ignoring all obstructions and conspiracies of the incumbent undemocratic fascist government.
He urged the members to act as per their oath and also to become serious in securing knowledge and molding noble character. He puts stress on implementing the rest of the plans of the sessions immediately.
