Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman ha said the government has intentionally caused the price hike of the essentials. Market syndicate is not only responsible for this situation. A vested political force is working behind creating this unjust hike. Massive resentment and hatred have been created among the people about this government. As such, in the wake of public wrath, the government has to leave office soon. He urged everybody to initiate a comprehensive movement for launching a genuinely representative government.
He said this while addressing a virtual workshop of the Ward President, secretary, and thana working committee members as the chief guest, arranged by Dhaka city North today. Central executive committee member and Dhaka city North Ameer Mohammad Selim Uddin presided over the meeting, while central working committee member and Dhaka city North Secretary Dr. Muhammad Rezaul Karim hosted the event. The program was initiated with the Darsul Quran, delivered by Jamaat’s Assistant Secretary General Maulana Abdul Halim. Jamaat’s Assistant Secretary General Hamidur Rahman Azad and Ehsanul Mahbub Jubar addressed the program as special guests. Among others, central working committee member and Dhaka North city’s Nayeb-e-Ameer Abdur Rahman Musa, central Majlish-e-Shuram member and Dhaka city North’s Assistant Secretary Lashkar Mohammad Taslim, Mahfuzur Rahman, Nazim Uddin Molla and Dr. Fakhruddin Manik addressed the program.
Jamaat Ameer said, inflation has exceeded all the previous records. Subsequently, people of low income fell into deep trouble. Degradation is going on in all senses. Prohibited alcohol has been made allowed. Above 21 age people are allowed to consume alcohol. If an area finds only 100 consumers, the government has become agreed to license local interested traders to open new alcohol shops. Such initiative clearly goes against people’s religious sentiments and beliefs. Pronstar is being imported into the country to misguide the youths. But these scenarios can never be imagined just 12 years back. We, the the activists of Islamic movement have to play pivotal roles in creating public opinions against these anti-Islamic forces.
He said, the government has intentionally targeted Jamaat and other patriotic political forces. As a part of the same plot, Jamaat’s top leaders were implicated with some false cases and they have been executed in a planned way. Earlier, 57 skilled and patriot army officials were murdered through a mutiny. But history testifies, the quarter which had taken a stance against the people can never be sustained. We have joined this organization with a vision to sacrifice our lives. Our leaders have set a unique example by sacrificing their lives and we have to follow the same path as well.
Hamidur Rahman Azad said, he is better who serving society. Social service is a noble way to attain the satisfaction of Allah. Islamic movement activists have to make a strong base through social services in order to build this country a welfare state. He urged everybody to work unitedly for facilitating a systematic revolution.
Maulana Abdul Halim said, the holy month of Ramadan is knocking at the door. We have to utilize time properly in this month to gain all blessings. For the welfare of the people, we should remain united and firm. Jamaat’s main target is to make this country a welfare state and we have to continue to struggle for achieving this target.
Ahsanul Mahboob Zubair said, to establish Islam as a victorious ideology, the activists of Islamic movement should gain leadership qualities. We have limitations but we have to work hard to overcome those limitations for the sake of our Deen. Our main mission is the oneness of Allah, prophethood, and life hereafter. He urged everybody to come and join under the flag of Tawhid and to bolster this movement.
Mohammad Selim Uddin said, not the state office, rather achieving Allah’s satisfaction should be treated as the ultimate success. So, Islamic movement activists should make their sincere effort to attain Almighty’s satisfaction. The government has killed our leaders to make this nation meritless. The meritorious students like Abrar are being killed and abduced frequently. So, to establish justice, Jamaat leaders and activists should work sincerely and wholeheartedly. He urged everyone to launch strong protests at the grassroots levels against unjustified price hikes and the government’s issuance of alcohol licenses.
