The people of the country love Islam and they have due respect for the Islamic code of life. Now it is important to uphold Islamic spirit and to demonstrate Islam as a complete code of life highlighting its welfare programs. The youth section should play pivotal role to ensure salvation and also for establishing a just society. Moral degradation, capitalistic life style and fragile family structure have taken the society at the verge of collapse. Under the circumstances, Islam has become only shelter for the potential and freedom seeking people. Jamaat-e-Islami’s central executive committee member and party’s central Oublicty Secretary Advocate Matiur Rahman Akanda said this while addressing a workshop of the Unit chiefs of the Narshingdi district Jamaat. District Ameer Maulana Mosleh Uddin presided over the program. District Secretary Professor Amzad Hossain hosted the workshop. Jamaat’s central executive committee member Principal Shahabuddin Ahmed and central Majlish-e-Shura member Abdul Zabbar also addressed the program.

Advocate Akanda further said, due to unprecedented oppression against Jamaat leaders and activists, huge potentials have been created for the Islamic forces and the unit chiefs must try to utilize it. Public unity must be established against hatred, looting and corruption. People’s rights should be given back by establishing an Islamic welfare state.

Principal Shahabuddin Ahmed said, unit chiefs are the key factor of this organization. They should play effective role to establish a just society. Everyone should come forward to ensure public complicity by increasing public service oriented activities.
