Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Acting Ameer and former MP Professor Mujibur Rahman said, the authoritarian government has started new farce by bringing dummy candidates in forth. The state apparatus is being used to conduct such unlawful activities. People have no interest about the ongoing dummy election. The movement for restoring democracy and voting rights to be intensified. The organization must be strengthened on the basis of establishing sound relationship with Almighty Allah. We have to set examples of sacrifice and dedications like the companions of the Prophet (pbuH).
He said this while addressing a conference of the Associate Members organized by Rangpur city Jamaat on Friday. Rangpur city Ameer ATM Azam Khan presided over the program which was hosted by city secretary Obaidullah Salafi. Jamaat’s Assistant Secretary General Maulana Abdul Halim, Jamaat’s central working committee member and Rangpur-Dinajpur region’s team member Mahbubur Rahman Belal addressed the program as the special guests. Among others, Rangpur city Nayeb-e-Ameer Professor Md. Anwarul Islam, Assistant Secretary Anwarul Haq Kazal and publicity secretary Advocate Md. Kawsar Ali also addressed the program.
He further said that, the fascist government is pushing the nation towards a one-party rule. The people must be encouraged to boycott the election of 7th January. The people should be refrained from casting votes despite the threats and intimidation of the government. The relation with the government must be disconnected. Massive resistance must be launched against the fascist government to free the nation from the misrule.
Maulana Abdul Halim said, we have to act like a safeguard to protect and preserve independence and sovereignty. Addressing the associate members, he said, you should not feel content only for being associate members, rather you have to build yourselves as effective workers. You have to study Quran and Hadith attentively and also to play role as the witness for truth.
