Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami's Acting Ameer and former lawmaker Professor Mujibur Rahman has said, fair and credible election is not possible without a caretaker government. The illegal government has turned the nation into a giant prison by conducting murders, looting, abduction, repression and arrest drives. The courts also snatched the rights of the people to get justice by issuing prescribed verdicts. They are convicting Jamaat leaders by holding a farcical trial procedures. Human rights of the people are completely subdued now because of the government's misrule.
He said this while virtually addressing a conference of the associate members organized by Barguna district Jamaat-e-Islami. District secretary Maulana S M Afzalur Rahman hosted the program. Jamaat-e-Islami's Assistant Secretary General Advocate Moazzem Hossain Helal and Barisal City Jamaat Ameer and party's central working committee member Zahir Uddin Babar addressed the conference as the special guests.
Acting Ameer said, leaders and activists of all levels have to sacrifice their efforts, time, lives and resources for this movement. Human rights can be ensured only by establishing the ideology of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon Him). Jamaat leaders and activists also have to extend their sympathetic hands toward the orphans and the helpless people. Jamaat men should study Quran and Hadith regularly and try to build themselves and their families in accordance with the Islamic spirit.
