We will not allow to hold next parliamentary election under a political regime. Jamaat will not take part in election without caretaker government. If the incumbent government make any conspiracy with the upcoming election, then along with the people Jamaat will give a stern reply.
Jamaat’s Acting Ameer and former MP Professor Mujibur Rahman has said this while virtually addressing a workers’ conference organized by Rangpur city Jamaat-e-Islami. Rangpur city Ameer, central Majlish-e-Shura member, Vice-Principal ATM Azam Khan presided over the program which was hosted by city secretary Obaidullah Salafi.
He said, all leaders and activists have to gain ethical standard by studying Quran, Hadith and Islamic literature frequently. Jamaat men should stand beside the poor, orphan and helpless people. He urged the government to release Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman and other detainees immediately.
Addressing the program as the special guest, Jamaat’s Assistant Secretary General and Rangpur-Dinajpur region’s coordinator Maulana Abdul Halim said, the party which in the past occasions, had destabilized the nation by observing continuous strike to press the demand of establishing caretaker system, they are denying the same caretaker now and playing tricky games with the voting rights of the people. He called upon to restore caretaker government system and to secure citizen’s voting rights.
Bangladesh Islami Chhatrashibir’s central president Razibur Rahman Polash also addressed the program. Among others, Jamaat’s central working committee member and Rangpur-Dinajpur region’s team member Maulana Momtaz Uddin, central working committee member and Rangpur-Dinajpur region’s team member Professor Mahbubur Rahman Belal, Rangpur city Jamaat’s Nayeb-e-Ameer Professor Anwarul Islam, Chhatrashibir’s central working committee member and Rangpur city Chhatrashibir president Mahmudul Hasan spoke on the occasion.
