Top leaders of this party have accepted martyrdom in the state of execution without making any compromise, more than 250 leaders and activists of this organization have been killed, around 5 thousand activists of this organization are passing days as crippled and still its Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman and other central leaders have been remaining behind the bar for years. So, under such severe condition some quarters are smelling of secret dealing or understanding between Jamaat-e-Islami and ruling Awami League, it is nothing but their immature reactions. We want to assert that Jamaat has never done the politics of negotiation and compromise. There is no such word like ‘secret understanding’ or compromise in the dictionary of Jamaat-e-Islami. Some people are saying about such secret negotiation centering a procession of Jamaat-e-Islami in the capital after 10 years. So, naturally question arises, the parties which are holding such processions and rallies regularly, did they make similar compromise or negotiation with the government as well?
Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Acting Ameer and former lawmaker Professor Mujibur Rahman said this while virtually addressing a workers’ conference arranged by Jamaat-e-Islami Chuadanga district. District Ameer and Jamaat’s central Majlish-e-Shura member Md. Ruhul Amin presided over the program which was hosted by district Jamaat’s Assistant secretary Advocate Masud Parvez Rasel.
Professor Mujib said, we all are moving towards the hereafter. We have to be inspired with the sacrificing story of Prophet Ibrahim (A) and Prophet Ismail (A). Jamaat-e-Islami and Chhatrashibir want to build an Islamic state like the way our Prophet Muhammad (pbuH) had established a state in Madina. Citing the current political situation, Acting Ameer said, we are taking preparation for the election but it does not mean that we are going to take part in a farcical election, as per the design of the government. We will go to election if it is held under a caretaker regime. Whoever is saying about holding the election constitutionally, they have taken position against the people. The countrymen will not allow to hold any election without a caretaker government this time.
Among others, Jamaat’s Assistant Secretary General Maulana Abdul Halim, Jamaat’s central executive committee member and Kushtia-Jessore region’s coordinator Mobarak Hossain spoke on the conference. District Nayeb-e-Ameer Maulana Azizur Rahman, district Secreary Advocate Md. Asaduzzaman, assistant secretary Md. Abdul Quader, Islami Chhatrashibir’s Chuadanga district President Kaium Uddin Hiru also addressed the program.
