A three-time winner of the International Qur’an Recitation Competition Hafez Saifur Rahman Taqi passed away due to dengue fever on 28 October morning at Mugda Medical College Hospital in Dhaka. (Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilayhi Raji’un). Expressing deep sorrow over his demise, Secretary General of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and former Member of Parliament Professor Mia Golam Porwar issued a condolence message on 29 October.
In his message, he said that Hafez Saifur Rahman Taqi had achieved first place in international Qur’an memorization competitions held in Jordan, Kuwait, and Bahrain. Through his participation and success in these international competitions, he brought honor and glory to Bangladesh. “I express my profound grief at his passing,” he added.
In the condolence message, he further said: “May Allah Almighty forgive him, shower His mercy upon him, and make his grave spacious. May Allah pardon his sins and transform them into good deeds. May every stage after death, starting from the grave, be made easy, peaceful, and blessed for him. May Allah, the Lord of the worlds, grant him a high rank in Jannah and bestow patience and strength upon his bereaved family members to endure this loss.”
