Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has issued the following message of condolence on 2 September 2020 expressing deep shock at the death of veteran religious scholar, Comilla district’s Dhamoti Islamia Kamil Madrasa’s former Principal, Ustazul Ulama Maulana Abdul Halim.

Ustazul Ulama Maulana Abdul Halim has served Comilla district’s Dhamoti Islamia Kamil Madrasa as the Principal for 30 years. Till date, he was discharging duties as the Peer (religious saint) of DhamotiDorbar Sharif. He died this noon due to some old age complications. InnalillahiWa Inna IlaihiRajiun.

He was a renowned religious scholar and played a very significant role to expand and facilitate Islamic education. He is the teacher of many other religious scholars. The nation will remember him for his tremendous efforts and contributions in country’s academic field. The nation lost a great religious personality at his demise. His vacuum will not be fulfilled easily.

May Allah bless him with Jannah. I am extending my deep shock and sympathy to his sorrowful family, relatives, students and other followers.
