Nayeb-e-Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ataur Rahman has issued the following statement on 30th December, 2016 protesting the unjustifiable arrest of Rajshahi East organizational district's Charghat municipality Jamaat Secretary Hafizul Haque.   "Police has arrested Rajshahi district's Charghat municipality Jamaat Secretary Hafizul Haque in order to attain government's ill political interest. He is completely innocent.    Police has been relentlessly arresting the leaders and activists of Jamaat-e-Islami nationwide and repressing them in order to make Jamaat a leaderless party. The government is conducting torture and oppression against the Jamaat men just to prolong its tyrannical rule. I am urging the countrymen to raise voice against the suppression of the government.   Finally I am calling upon the authorities concerned to release all the detained Jamaat leaders and activists including Rajshahi district's Charghat municipality Jamaat Secretary Hafizul Haque immediately.
