Secretary General extends New Year greetings to the countrymen

-Mia Golam Porwar

On the occasion of the New Year, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Secretary General and former MP Mia Golam Porwar today, 31 December, issued a message conveying his heartfelt greetings and congratulations to the people of the country and to everyone.

In his message, he said, “Leaving behind all the sorrows, hardships and disappointments of the old year, may the new year bring peace, justice, humanity and welfare into our lives—this is our prayer. A year carries with it the memories of various experiences, successes and failures of our lives. The new year creates an opportunity to bring positive changes in individual, social and state life by learning from those experiences.

On the occasion of the New Year, I extend my heartfelt greetings to the people of the country and to all.”

He further said, “I hope that in the new year our beloved motherland Bangladesh will move further forward on the path of political stability, social harmony, justice and economic prosperity. At the same time, we will all play responsible roles from our respective positions in establishing the rights, dignity and justice of people from all walks of life in the country.

On the occasion of the English New Year, I pray to Almighty Allah that it brings welfare, good health and a safe future to the lives of all the people of the country.”
