-Mia Golam Porwar

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Secretary General and former Member of Parliament, Professor Mia Golam Porwar, has issued a statement on October 27, urging the people of the country to make the pre-announced program of October 28 (Tuesday) a complete success.

In the statement, he said, “Tomorrow, October 28, marks a tragic day in the history of the nation. On that day, in attacks carried out by the Awami League and their accomplices across the country, including Dhaka, 14 leaders and activists of Jamaat-e-Islami and Islami Chhatra Shibir were martyred, and more than a thousand were injured. The terrorists of the 14-party alliance launched attacks not only in Dhaka but throughout the country, creating a state of utter anarchy. The Awami terrorists murdered people and then danced over the dead bodies in barbaric celebrationan incident that was widely reported and condemned by global media. This was a premeditated, anti-human massacre.

In protest of this brutal incident, as per the previously announced program, meetings, gatherings, protest marches, discussion sessions, and prayer assemblies will be held tomorrow, October 28 (Tuesday), at all levels across the countryin all cities, districts, upazilas, and thana, Insha’Allah.

I make an earnest appeal to all branches of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and also to the people of the country to participate spontaneously in this program and make it successful.”
