Assistant Secretary General of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and Head of party’s Central Publicity and Media Department Advocate Ahsanul Mahboob Zubair has issued a statement on July 28, 2025 condemning and protesting against the fabricated and false information published about Jamaat-e-Islami in an article titled (জামায়াতের গুপ্ত রাজনীতির সত্যতা (“The Truth of Jamaat’s Secret Politics.”)
In the statement, he said: "I strongly protest and condemn the baseless and false claims made about Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami in the article titled (জামায়াতের গুপ্ত রাজনীতির সত্যতা (“The Truth of Jamaat’s Secret Politics.”) published on page 4 of the July 28 in Daily Amader Shomoy which was written by one Maruf Mallik. The claim made by Mr. Maruf Mallik, that Jamaat engages in 'the politics of falsehood and attempts to influence various parties by secretly infiltrating different organizations is entirely false. His assertion that Jamaat-Shibir members are covertly embedded in parties like Awami League, Chhatra League, and BNP is completely baseless and has no connection to reality. His entire article is based on imaginary and fabricated information. It is clear that Mr. Mallik has launched this smear campaign with the malicious intent of damaging the image and reputation of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and Bangladesh Islami Chhatrashibir."
He further stated: "Our clear stance on this matter is that Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and Islami Chhatrashibir have been operating openly in the political field of this country. There is no question of engaging in secret politics, falsehood, or infiltrating any other political party. These allegations are purely the author’s own inventions and have no nexus to reality. Such propaganda will not succeed in tarnishing the image of Jamaat-e-Islami."
"I urge Mr. Maruf Mallik to refrain from spreading such baseless propaganda against Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and Islami Chhatrashibir. I also call upon the editorial board of Amader Shomoy to publish this protest statement in the appropriate section to lessen the confusion caused by the article.”
