Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has issued the following statement on 20 June, 2020 urging to offer prayer seeking quick recovery of renowned religious scholar Maulana Sayed Kamal Uddin Zafree.

Principal of Narsingdi Jameya Kasemia Madrasa, the founder of Bangladesh Islami University and noted religious scholar Maulana Sayed Kamal Uddin Zafree is admitted in a hospital in the capital due to his illness. He is not an ordinary religious scholar, but a master of thousands of scholars as well. His students are discharging various important duties holding significant positions both in home and abroad.

I am praying to Allah for his quickest recovery. I am also calling upon my fellow colleagues, countrymen and the expatriates to offer special prayer for him and his quick recovery.
