Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has issued the following statement on 26 May 2020 urging everybody to offer seeking complete and quick recovery of Jamaat-e-Islami’s Chittagong South organizational district’s Ameer and Central Majlish-e-Shura member Md. Jafar Sadeq.

“Jamaat-e-Islami’s Chittagong South organizational district’s Ameer Md. Jafar Sadeq is suffering severely as he was infected by coronavirus. He is in critical condition. Hundreds of thousands of people in Bangladesh are also infected by the coronavirus. The number of patients is increasing day by day. Alarming number of people are dying regularly as well.

I am urging my fellow associates and the countrymen to humbly perform special prayer seeking quick recovery of Md. Jafor Sadeq and all other affected and infected patients. Besides, I am praying to Allah to accept all the people as martyr who have died of covid-19 pandemic so far.
