Central Publicity Affairs Secretary of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Matiur Rahman Akanda has issued the following statement on 14 May 2020 protesting and condemning the report titled “দেশ উত্তপ্ত করার নীল নকশা” (Blue Print Design to destabilize the country) published in the Bengali Daily ‘Amader Shomoy’ which contains various false information against Jamaat-e-Islami.

“In the aforesaid report, Daily Amader Shomoy mentioned a person as Jamaat’s leader, who is not even an activist of Jamaat-e-Islami. Jamaat-e-Islami do not believe in the politics of conspiracies and hidden agendas. No question is emanated from the part of Jamaat-e-Islami to provide funding in order to create political anarchy or implementing blue print design. Jamaat’s activities are always democratic, systemic and explicit.

There is no nexus between any alleged attempt and Jamaat-e-Islami. Jamaat has a glorious history of conducting systematic politics. This false report has been made implicating Jamaat-e-Islami just to tarnish the image of this organization. We are urging the authority of Daily Amader Shomoy to be refrained from making such illogical and politically motivated report in future.
