Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Secretary General and former lawmaker Professor Mia Golam Porwar has issued the following statement on 21st January, 2020 protesting and gainsaying the false and baseless report titled “সংস্কারপন্থীদের জয়জয়কার (‘Triumph of the Reformists’) published in the last page of Bengali daily `Manabzamin’ today.
“I am vehemently protesting and condemning the false, concocted and baseless report of Bengali daily Manabzamin titled “সংস্কারপন্থীদের জয়জয়কার ‘Triumph of the Reformists’.
Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami is a systematic and democratic Islamic party. There is no reformist section within this party. Duties are being distributed among the leaders as per the constitutional directives and subsequently the leaders and responsible personnel of this organization try to discharge their duties sincerely and efficiently. Whatever is said in this report about Jamaat’s Nayeb-e-Ameer Professor Mujibur Rahman is nothing but a fiction of the concerned reporter.
Such a fictitious report of daily Manabzamin contradicts the basic ethics of journalism. I am urging the concerned authority of this daily to be refrained from publishing such baseless, concocted and fictitious report in the upcoming days.
