Central Publicity Department Affairs Secretary of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Professor Md. Tasnim Alam has issued the following statement on 8 December 2019 protesting and gainsaying the false report of Bengali daily ‘Janakantha’ titled “দুই জঙ্গীর মাথায় আইএস টুপি-গভীর চক্রান্ত” (Two militants put IS cap: Deep conspiracy) published on 8th December.

“The report of daily ‘Janakantha’ titled “দুই জঙ্গীর মাথায় আইএস টুপি-গভীর চক্রান্ত” (Two militants put IS cap: Deep conspiracy) contains huge misleading and confusing information against Jamaat-e-Islami. Like its tradition, the daily Janakantha carries out a malign campaign against Jamaat and Chhatrashibir. I am vehemently protesting the report and asserting that Jamaat and Chhatrashibir has no connection with the mechanism of providing IS cap to the militants.

Referring the Investigating officer of the case, Janakantha conducted an ill-intentional propaganda against Jamaat and Chhatrashabir. The report’s information is totally false. Jamaat and Chhatrashibir had no connection with IS or any other militant organization before. It has no nexus with any such platform now as well. So, there is no chance for Jamaat or Chhatrashibir to supply IS cap to the detained militants. It has become a bad habit of Daily Janakantha to blame Jamaat and Chhatrashibir for all the misdeeds.

The daily Janakantha has conducted this campaign to demean the image of Jamaat-e-Islami and Chhatrashibir. Their all previous propaganda had been proved wrong ultimately. The countrymen do not believe their report at all.

I am urging the authority of Daily Janakantha to be refrained from conducting propaganda against Jamaat-e-Islami and Chhatrashibir.
