Hamidur Rahman Azad denounces the false report of Daily Jugantor against Jamaat-e-Islami

Assistant Secretary General of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and former member of the parliament Hamidur Rahman Azad has issued the following statement on 29th October, 2017 gainsaying and denouncing the false and baseless report of Daily Jugantor titled “রিমান্ডে নেতাদের তথ্য, সরকার উৎখাতে জামায়াতের ষড়যন্ত্রের ছক পুলিশের হাতে” (Jamaat leaders disclosed information: Police got Jamaat’s blueprint design to topple government).

“Whatever is said in the Daily Jugantor’s report referring the so called information which the policemen allegedly received during the remand of the detained Jamaat and Chhatrishangstha leaders is completely false.

Responding to the report of Daily Jugantor, I want to assert that the information and content of the report is far away from truth. The report claimed that Jamaat leaders talked about their design to create instability in the country at the beginning of next year. Such information is totally false. This concocted report has been published just to tarnish the image of the detained leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami and Islami Chhatrishangstha.

Jamaat-e-Islami and Islami Chhatrishangstha believe in systematic and democratic trend of politics. So no question is emanated of disclosing such information by the Jamaat leaders in the recent police remand. So there is no chance of obtaining any such plan by the police force as well.

Daily Jugantor had published such false and baseless news against Jamaat-e-Islami earlier in many occasions. But their reports have been proved false ultimately. In this backdrop, I am urging the authority of Daily Jugantor to be refrained from publishing such false report in future.”
