London Mosque came under terror attack; Secretary General expresses concern

Secretary General of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has issued the following statement on 19th June, 2017 expressing deep concern at the terror incident as a van rams the Muslim devotees while they were leaving after completing their Tarabi prayer near North London mosque that killed a man and wounded 10 others.

“We are deeply shocked and worried at the terror incident as a van rams the Muslim devotees while they were leaving after completing their Tarabi prayer near North London mosque that killed a man and wounded 10 others.

This kind of painful communal attack is being taken place as a consequence of hate speech and provocative comments from various quarters around the world. I am urging the British government to probe into the incident and to take due legal actions against the offenders so that no one could dare to commit such offence again. Besides, I am calling upon the responsible sections to be refrained from delivering irrational, provocative and communal comments.

I am praying for the salvation of the departed souls of the Muslim devotees and extending deep sympathy to the victim’s mournful families. I am also praying for the quick recovery of the injury victims.”
