Jamaat Ameer urges OIC and the Muslim Nations to take effective steps for resolving Qatar crisis

Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Maqbul Ahmad has issued the following statement on 12th June, 2017 urging the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) and the Muslim nations to resolve the Qatar crisis through dialogue and discussions.

“The Arab world is in a deep crisis with the Gulf state Qatar which has created tensions and worries among the entire Muslim world. At present, the Muslim are going through bloodshed in different countries including Iraq, Syria, Libya, Palestine and Afghanistan. The entire Muslim Ummah is in trouble. Amidst the situation, the rationales and scholarly Muslim figures are in deep worries. In this backdrop, unity and solidarity among the Muslim nations of the world is direly needed.

But we have been observing with great concern that the Qatar crisis, which has been erupted in recent times, is causing more troubles and divisions among the Muslim world. If the crises continue, the Muslim world, particularly the Arab regions would be affected severely. To get rid of such painful consequences, we sincerely want an immediate amicable solution to this crisis.

Under the circumstances, I am urging the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) and the influential Muslim nations to peacefully resolve the Qatar crisis through dialogue and discussions immediately.
