Today, 18 January (Sunday) at 9:00 a.m., Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami's Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman was paid a courtesy call by the Honorable Chargé d’Affaires of the Singapore High Commission in Bangladesh, Mr. Mitchell Lee at Jamaat Ameer's office located in Bashundhara of the capital.

The meeting was held in a very cordial and warm atmosphere.

During the meeting, there was an exchange of views on various important issues, including the prevailing political and economic situation in Bangladesh, industry and trade, the upcoming national parliamentary election, and state reforms.

The Honorable Chargé d’Affaires, Mr. Mitchell Lee, highly praised the positive role of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami in Bangladesh’s economic development and democratic progress.

At the same time, both sides expressed optimism that bilateral relations between Bangladesh and Singapore would become even stronger in the future.
