His Excellency Mr. Abdelwahab Saïdani, the Honorable Ambassador of Algeria to Bangladesh, paid a courtesy call on Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami's Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman. The meeting took place on Wednesday (8 October) at 12 noon at Jamaat Ameer’s office in Bashundhara, Dhaka. The discussion was held in a very cordial and friendly atmosphere.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Honorable Ambassador inquired about the health condition of Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, and wished him a speedy and full recovery.

During the meeting, they exchanged views on the overall situation of Bangladesh, mutual relations between the two countries—particularly on issues related to the consolidation of democracy, investment, and diplomacy. Both sides expressed optimism that in the future, the development, progress, and bilateral relations between the two countries would be further strengthened.

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami's Secretary General and former lawmaker Professor Mia Golam Porwar, and Assistant Secretary General and Head of the Central Publicity and Media Department Advocate Ahsanul Mahboob Zubair were present on the occasion.
