On the occasion of celebrating the 50th anniversary of China-Bangladesh friendship, a high-level delegation of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, led by the party’s Nayeb-e-Ameer and former Member of Parliament Professor Mujibur Rahman, attended the program organized at Hotel Sheraton in the capital on Wednesday evening, September 17, at the invitation of His Excellency Mr. Yao Wen, the Ambassador of China to Bangladesh.
At the event, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami's Secretary General and former MP Professor Mia Golam Porwar, Assistant Secretary Generals Maulana ATM Masum, Maulana Rafiqul Islam Khan, Maulana Abdul Halim, Advocate Muazzam Hossain Helal, Advocate Ahsanul Mahboob Zubair (Head of Jamaat's Central Publicity and Media Department), Advocate Matiur Rahman Akanda (Secretary of the Central Publicity and Media Department), Central Executive Committee members Saiful Alam Khan Milon and Mobarak Hossain, Central Executive Committee member and Ameer of Dhaka City South Nurul Islam Bulbul, Jamaat Ameer’s Advisor on Foreign Affairs Professor Dr. Mahmudul Hasan, along with central leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami and Islami Chhatrashibir were present on the occasion.
Speakers stated that the historic friendship between China and Bangladesh has been playing a very important role in the welfare of the peoples of both countries, in mutual trade, and in cultural exchanges. They also expressed hope that this relationship will be further strengthened in the future.
