The people of the country are already aware that, with the aim of holding a free, fair, and acceptable election in the coming February based on the July National Charter, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, in a crowded press conference on 15 September, announced a three-day program on 18, 19, and 26 September to meet its 5-point demand.
For the realization of these demands:
Tomorrow, 18 September (Thursday) at 4:30 PM, under the joint initiative of Dhaka City North and South Jamaat, a protest program will be held at the south gate of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque.
Nayeb-e-Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and former Member of Parliament Dr. Syed Abdullah Mohammad Taher will be present as the Chief Guest, while Secretary General and former Member of Parliament Professor Mia Golam Porwar will be present as the Special Guest. Central and City leaders will also address the gathering.
In the centrally declared program on 19 September (Friday) in the divisional cities, the following central leaders will remain present and deliver speeches at the respective divisions:
1. Barishal City: Nayeb-e-Ameer and former MP Professor Mujibur Rahman
2. Rangpur City: Secretary General and former MP Professor Mia Golam Porwar
3. Chattogram City: Assistant Secretary General Maulana Rafiqul Islam Khan
4. Sylhet City: Assistant Secretary General Dr. A.H.M. Hamidur Rahman Azad
5. Rajshahi City: Assistant Secretary General Advocate Muazzam Hossain Helal
6. Mymensingh City: Assistant Secretary General Advocate Ahsanul Mahboob Zubair
7. Khulna City: Central Executive Committee Member and Secretary of Central Publicity and Media Department Advocate Matiur Rahman Akanda.
Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami is making an earnest call to the residents of the respective Metropolitan cities to participate extensively in the declared programs in order to realize these demands.
It is to be noted that, for the realization of the declared demands, programs will also be held in all districts and upazilas across the country on 26 September as per the predeclared schedule.
