Secretary General of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and former Member of Parliament Professor Mia Golam Porwar visited Nurul Haque Nur, President of Gana Adhikar Parishad and former Vice President of DUCSU, at Dhaka Medical College Hospital today (5 September 2025) at noon. He inquired about Nur’s physical condition and prayed to Almighty Allah for his quick recovery.

It should be noted that on 29 August (Friday), Mr. Nur was seriously injured in an attack by some members of the law enforcement agencies in Bijoynagar, Dhaka.

Professor Mia Golam Porwar said, “The Chief Adviser, Dr. Muhammad Yunus, has promised to arrange advanced treatment abroad for Nurul Haque Nur. We hope he will implement this promise without delay.”

He further said, “We demand that those involved in the 29 August attack be quickly arrested and brought under the rule of law, and that the judicial inquiry committee formed to uncover the true facts of the incident complete its investigation and submit its report at the earliest possible time.”

The Secretary General emphasized, “Any kind of delay in treatment or justice is undesirable. We expect that the Chief Adviser will promptly implement his given promise and will take appropriate action against the attackers through a judicial investigation.
