On the occasion of the 63rd Independence Day of Algeria, a special ceremony was organized by the Honorable Ambassador of Algeria to Bangladesh, Dr. Abdelouahab Saidani. The event was held on Saturday (5 July) at noon at Hotel The Royal Paradise in Gulshan, Dhaka. Ambassadors, high commissioners, diplomats from various countries, political figures, retired military officials, senior government officers, and distinguished members of civil society participated in the celebration.

Representing Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, the party’s Secretary General and former Member of Parliament, Professor Mia Golam Porwar, attended the event. On this occasion, he handed over a written message of greetings on behalf of Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, to the Algerian Ambassador which has been written to the Honorable President of Algeria, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune.

During the event, it was expressed with optimism that the existing cordial bilateral relations between Algeria and Bangladesh will be further strengthened in the future.
