A meeting of the historic 'National Rally' Implementation Committee was held at the central office of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami on Thursday, July 3 at 11 am. Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami's Secretary General and former MP Professor Mia Golam Porwar presided over the meeting. Jamaat's Assistant Secretary General Adv. Ahsanul Mahboob Zubair, Central Executive Council Member and Secretary of the Central Publicity and Media Department Adv. Matiur Rahman Akanda, Central Executive Council Member Mobarak Hossain, Central Executive Council Member and Ameer of Dhaka City South Nurul Islam Bulbul, Secretaries of Dhaka City South and North respectively Dr. Shafiqul Islam Masud and Dr. Rezaul Karim, among others were present in the meeting.
Various aspects of the necessary preparations were discussed to make the historic national rally to be held successful at Suhrawardy Udyan in the capital Dhaka on Saturday, July 19 at 2 pm to realize the 7-point demands.
In the meeting, Professor Mia Golam Porwar said that the national rally is very important nationally during the commemorative period of the July-August mass uprising. After freeing the country from the clutches of tyranny in exchange for blood, Jamaat-e-Islami is going to organize the national rally to implement the main objective of the mass uprising. He called on all levels of the organization and the countrymen to make the upcoming national rally a success.
The success of the mass uprising of the students and the public must be achieved only by achieving the 7-point demands announced by Jamaat-e-Islami, he added.
