Secretary General addresses workers' conference in Dumuria, Khulna

The interim government must handover power to the elected government following some basic reforms and a fair election

-Professor Mia Golam Parwar

Secretary General of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and former MP Professor Mia Golam Parwar said, "Since the escape of fascist Sheikh Hasina on August 5, the orphan children have been searching for their father in the graveyards till now. The oppressors did not just kill people with bullets, they even burnt the bodies with fire. The people of the country will never forgive them. Sheikh Hasina fled to India but her conspiracies are not over. He is conspiring to destabilize the country through the henchmen she has planted in every sector. All the workers should play a united role to stop all these conspiracies.

He further said that Dumuria and Fultala once became a sanctuary for terrorists and extremists. After being elected from this constituency, I sincerely tried to eliminate the terrorists and extremists by risking my life. Today we have to deal with flood crisis. I have facilitated necessary measures by talking to the ministry to resolve this waterlogging. And it is not possible for this interim government to solve such a big problem. For this, he called upon the interim government to reform some basic issues and transfer power to the elected government through national elections within a reasonable time. He said, our goal is to establish a welfare state based on the laws of Allah and the ideals of the Prophet. In that state, people of all religions, castes and races will be benefited.”

He said all this in the speech while addressing a workers' conference as the chief guest at the Dumuria Degree College grounds organized by Jamaat-e-Islami in Dumuria Upazila of Khulna district on Saturday (November 16) morning.

Khulna District's Majlis Shura Member and Dumuria Upazila South Ameer Maulana Mukhtar Hussain presided over the event. Jamaat-e-Islami's Central Working Council Member and Khulna Region's Assistant coordinator Maulana Abul Kalam Azad addressed the program as the special guest. Among others, Bangladesh Sramik Kollan Federation's Central Vice President and Khulna Regional coordinator Master Shafiqul Alam, Central Majlish-e-Shura member and Khulna District Ameer Maulana Emran Hussain, Central Majlis Shura Member and District Secretary Munsi Mizanur Rahman, Assistant Secretary Munsi Moinul Islam and Professor Mia Golam Quddus, Khulna District Working Council Member Advocate Abu Yusuf, Khulna District Chhatrashibir President Belal Hossain Riyad addressed the program. Dumuria Upazila Hindu Committee President
Krishna Nandi and Upazila Krishak Dal President Kabir Hossain gave a welcome speech.

Professor Mia Golam Parwar said, “The current interim government is facing many challenges. Hasina is plotting a counter-revolution after August 5 revolution. The partisan chief justice of the fascist government plotted to call the new interim government an illegitimate government. However, the students foiled their conspiracies.

He said that as much time as needed for reforming the country must be given. But it cannot continue indefinitely. Reasonable time is defined as an environment in which people can vote freely and fearlessly, no one will tell them that the vote has been cast and the day's vote is over at previous night - the time it takes to create such an environment, we call it reasonable time.

He said that, during the 15-year long fascist era in Bangladesh, all the institutions of the state had become ruined or dysfunctional through irregularities and the fascist rulers had become highly corrupt.

Secretary General also said that it has been only three months since fascism has gone; But that criminality is not 100% gone. Some crimes are still being committed, but the level is low. I urged the law enforcers to more strict in this regard. Jamaat-e-Islami does not indulge injustice. Our stand against injustice will always be strong."

Maulana Abul Kalam Azad said, Awami League has killed so many students to stay in power, which had never happened in the history of the world. What crime did the children have? They killed hundreds of children. The ninety-year-old man did not come to the street, but the fascist forces killed the old men in his house. Awami League has shown the worst brutality and evil in the history of the world. However, after the Awami League left power, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, the most oppressed party during their regime, did not take any revenge. We will take revenge by establishing Allah's rule in this land, Insha'Allah. We want to establish the Deen of Allah wholeheartedly to ensure our salvation both in this world and the hereafter.
