Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Assistant Secretary General Maulana Rafiqul Islam Khan has been released from Kashimpur central jail at 9 pm on Sunday as per the directives of the High Court. He was warmly received at the jail gate by Jamaat’s central executive committee member and central publicity secretary Advocate Matiur Rahman Akanda, central executive committee member Mobarak Hossain, Dhaka south city’s Nayeb-e-Ameer Advocate Dr. Helal Uddin, Gazipur city Jamaat’s assistant secretary Hossain Ali, Advocate Maruful Islam, Advocate Mujahidul Islam, Mohammad Ali Mithu and many other leaders and activists. It should be mentioned here that Maulana Rafiqul Islam Khan was arrested on 6th September of 2021. After an imprisonment of 30 months and 6 days, finally he became released today. He expressed greetings to the countrymen and sought prayer for himself.
