Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Acting Ameer and former MP Professor Mujibur Rahman has said, the associate members of the organization must be built as skilled citizens in order to make Bangladesh a progressive and developed country enriched with science and knowledge. To survive in this competitive world, there is no other alternative. We should not indulge our selves into ignorance in the name of modernity. Islam is a complete code of life and we should decorate our lives within the peripheries of Islam.
Professor Mujibur Rahman said this while addressing a conference of the Associate Members as the Chief guest which was organized by Magura district Jamaat-e-Islami. District Ameer M B Baker presided over the program which was hosted by district secretary Professor Maulana Sayeed Ahmad. Jamaat’s central executive committee member and Jessore-Kushtia region’s coordinator Mobarak Hossain and regional team member and Magura district’s former Ameer Abdul Matin addressed the program as the special guests. Among others, Magura Sadar Upazila north Ameer Professor Faruq Hossain, Mohammadpur Upazila Ameer Maulana Kabir Hussain, Shalikha Upazila Ameer Maulana Alamgir Hossain, Sripur Upazila Ameer Professor Maulana Fakhruddin Mizan and Sadar Upazila south Ameer Maulana Kazi Shafiqur Rahman were present on the occasion.
Acting Ameer said, human rights in Bangladesh are subdued now. People are not allowed to speak up. Their voting rights have been seized away. The financial structure has been made crippled. Public lives and properties are not secured. On last 3rd February, a couple was taken to Jahangirnagar University and subsequently his wife was gangraped by the Chhatra League cadres. I am condemning the incident and urging to bring all the perpetrators to the book.
He said, there is no Quranic law in the country. The citizens are being deprived from their due rights. People will get back their rights if Quranic law is established. So, to secure mass rights, we have to establish Islam. We have to engage our lives and wealth to fulfil such target. The associate members should take effective measures to establish a Quranic environment in their houses. They must upgrade themselves and make all out efforts to include the family members and relatives in this movement. We should a lead a life focusing on the hereafter. We must be there by the side of the people in their happiness and sorrows.
Mobarak Hossain said, the associate members should not foil the trust of the people. They should keep their promises. There must be similarity between their words and tasks. We have to nurture the characteristics of the authentic Muslim as it is mentioned in the holy Quran.
