Jamaat-e-Islami holds peaceful demonstration protesting against Israeli massacre in Gaza
Bangladesh Jammat-e-Islami holds pre-declared peaceful demonstration across the country on Monday protesting against the ongoing Israeli massacre and genocide in Palestinian Gaza strip. Earlier, party’s Acting Secretary General Dr. Shafiqur Rahman declared the program by issuing a statement on 9th August.
As per the declaration, the leaders and activists of Jamaat-e-Islami took to the street since the Monday morning protesting the Israeli brutality and to express their solidarity with the Palestine Muslims. Demonstration held in the capital Dhaka and all the major cities and other districts of the country including Barisal, Chittagong, Rajshahi, Sylhet, Khulna, Rangpur and Comilla.
Addressing in such a program in the capital, Jamaat central Majlish-e-Shura member Kabir Ahmed said, Israeli forces have been conducting inhuman massacre and genocide in Gaza. Even the Israeli soldiers are targeting the civilian establishments. Even the innocent women and kids were not spared from the barbarous Israeli attack. He further said, basically, Israeli soldiers are conducting severe war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. The Jamaat leader also urged the world community and international organizations including the UN and OIC to play more pro-active role to stop the brutal killings.
Among others Jamaat city leaders Advocate Helal Uddin, Professor Mokarram Hossain Khan, Abu Nabil, Shamsur Rahman and Dhaka city Chhatrashibir leaders addressed the program.
In the nationwide programs, the Jamaat leaders alleged, already thousands of the innocent Palestinian citizens including women and children have been murdered and several thousands more have been injured by the Israeli attack. The Gaza strip’s Universities, Mosques, schools and hospitals have been destroyed as well. As a whole, the Israeli soldiers have turned the total strip into debris which caused a massive humanitarian crisis over there.
