Acting Ameer condemns Israeli attacks against Palestinian civilians; calls for immediate ceasefire

Acting Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and former lawmaker Professor Mujibur Rahman has issued the following statement on 27th February, 2024 vehemently protesting and condemning the merciless and brutal attacks of the Israeli forces against the Palestinian women, children and men who were waiting for relief.

Israeli forces, the enemies of Islam and humanity have brutally attacked the Palestinian women, children and men who were waiting for relief. Hundreds of Palestinian civilians have killed in this attack. Israel has destroyed the spirit of humanity and basic civic norms by carrying out such attack.

United Nations, various other international organizations and peace-loving states have repeatedly pressed Israel for ceasefire. But due to stubborn attitude of the Israeli Prime Minister, ceasefire has not been implemented yet. The entire world is deeply worried and saddened with the existing situation of Palestine. The holy month of Ramadan is knocking at our doors. Permanent ceasefire is necessary ahead of this month. It is the obligation of the world community to take all out measures to bring an end to the Israeli attacks and inhuman bloodshed.

We are calling upon the international forums including United Nations, OIC, Muslim world, all international agencies and democratic nations to make Israeli Prime Minister compelled to initiate a ceasefire immediately prior to the month of Ramadan.
