Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami's Acting Secretary General Maulana ATM Masum has issued a statement on 1st January, 2023 in which he stated that, on behalf of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, I am urging to continue mass contact and leaflet distribution program on 2nd,  3rd and 4th January demanding the cancellation of the farcical election, resignation of the government, forming an election-time caretaker government, withdrawal of the false political cases, and immediate release of all political detainees. I am calling upon the leaders and activists and the fellow countrymen to implement the declared programs in order to make ongoing movement successful.
