Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Assistant Secretary General Maulana Abdul Halim has issued the following statement on 4th August 2023 protesting and condemning the attack on Gono Odhikar Parishad President and former VP of DUCSU Nurul Haq Nur.

A preplanned attack has been carried out against Gono Odhikar Parishad President and former VP of DUCSU Nurul Haq Nur in front of TSC at Dhaka University. We are condemning such heinous attack.

It become a habit of the incumbent government to harass, attack and oppress the dissident views and opposition leaders and activists. It is completely an undemocratic and discourteous activities.

I am urging the concerned authorities to take stern punitive measures against those miscreants who were involved with the incident of attacking Mr. Nurul Haq Nur.
