Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami's central Executive Committee Member and party's Central Publicity Secretary Matiur Rahman Akanda has issued the following statement on 21st June, 2023 protesting and condemning the false and baseless report titled ‘জামায়াতের সঙ্গে সরকারের বৈঠক' (Meeting held between Jamaat-e-Islami and the government) published in Daily Manabzamin on 21st June.

The aforesaid report titled ‘জামায়াতের সঙ্গে সরকারের বৈঠক' (Meeting held between Jamaat-e-Islami and the government) published in Daily Manabzamin on 21st June is totally false, concocted, baseless and intentional. I am severely condemning this false report.

We want to assert that, no meeting was held between the government and any leader of Jamaat-e-Islami. So, whatever is stated quoting that meeting is false. The Daily Manabzamin's reporter's report is his own fabrication. The report clarified anything specific about the leader of Jamaat-e-Islami. Such circumstance exposed that, it is a false and fabricated news and it has been published just to create confusion among the people.

I am urging the authorities of Daily Manabzamin to be refrained from publishing such false, fabricated and confusing news in future.
