Jamaat Ameer instructs party men to help the corona victims; urges law enforcers not to harass the general masses

Turning back to Allah is the only way to get rid of ongoing crisis, he asserts

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has issued the following statement on 5 July 2021 urging the party leaders and activists to take stand by the side of the corona affected people and their families.

“The corona pandemic situation has been drastically deteriorated across the country. Over 150 people are being died of covid-19 everyday and the number of affected people is also increasing alarmingly. Since last 4 July, 9 lakhs 44 thousand 917 people have been affected by coronavirus while 15 thousand and 65 people have died. People are not getting treatment in the hospital. People are being died miserably in want of oxygen.

Although, there are many views about this corona virus, but actually this is the result of our ill-deeds. Almighty Allah says in the holy Quran that, Mischief has appeared on land and sea because of that the hands of men have earned, that ((Allah)) may give them a taste of some of their deeds: in order that they may turn back (from Evil).” (Sura Ar Rum: Verse 41)

The verse indicates that, all the dangers and tribulations are being taken place because of the ill-deeds of human beings. So, our only way out is to turn back to Almighty Allah and also to make sincere effort to follow His guidance properly. Besides, we should pray and seek forgiveness to Allah to get rid of these crises.

The low-income people are experiencing severe food crisis now. The people who live from hand to mouth, they are not able to go outside, or to work. Resultantly, they are passing days amid starvation. They are truly leading a deplorable life.

The country is under strict lockdown since 1st July. Even though, many people are going outside to manage their livelihood. But they are being harassed by the law enforcers. Many of the general masses are being arrested or fined as well.

I am urging the law enforcement agencies not to harass low-income people considering their miseries. I am also instructing fellow leaders and activists of our beloved organization to help the corona affected people and their families.
