Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami's Secretary General and former MP Professor Mia Golam Porwar and his wife left Dhaka for Saudi Arabia at around 1:45 pm on May 7 to perform the holy Hajj. Professor Mia Golam Porwar is scheduled to return home on the morning of June 11 after performing the holy Hajj, InshaAllah.

For this period of time, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami's Assistant Secretary General Maulana ATM Masum will serve as the Acting Secretary General of the organization.
