Mrs. Ayesha Ahmad, the respected mother-in-law of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, passed away due to old age on the night of July 6 at 10 PM while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Dhaka at the age of 82 (Inna Lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un). She is survived by five sons, two daughters, and many relatives. The funeral prayer (Namaj-e-Janazah) will be held tomorrow (07/07/25), Monday, after Zuhr prayer at Masjid-e-Baitul Firdous located on Tajmahal Road, Mohammadpur. After the Janazah, the deceased will be buried at Banani Military Graveyard, Insha Allah.
Condolence Message
Secretary General of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and former Member of Parliament Professor Mia Golam Porwar issued a condolence message on July 6 expressing deep condolences on the passing of Mrs. Ayesha Ahmad.
In the condolence message, he said, “The late Ayesha Ahmad was a pious and virtuous woman. As a well-wisher, she served the Islamic movement in many ways. One of her notable character traits was her gentle heart and kind behavior. She could easily win people's hearts. I express my deep sorrow over her demise.”
He further said in the condolence message, “May Allah Almighty forgive her and have mercy upon her and make her grave spacious. May Allah forgive all her sins and transform them into good deeds. On this everlasting journey, may Allah have mercy on her and assist her with the angels of mercy. May Allah grant her peace in the Barzakh and in the life of Jannah. May Allah include this servant among His beloved servants and grant her the highest ranks in Jannah. May Allah grant patience and steadfastness to her family members and relatives. Ameen.”
