Nayeb-e-Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and former member of the Parliament Professor Mujibur Rahman has issued the following statement on 25th December, 2016 protesting and gainsaying the false and confusing report of Bengali Daily Jugantor.

“The report which has been published in Daily Jugantor in regards to Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami is completely confusing and politically ill motivated. This baseless report has been published in order to damage the image of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami.

Regarding the report our clear opinion is, all the organizational activities of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami is being conducted and maintained according to its party constitution. So no question is emanated of creating any internal feud from the central to the grassroots level. Ameer-e-Jamaat, Mr. Maqbul Ahmad has appointed Nayeb-e-Ameer, Secretary General, Assistant Secretary General and other important personnel as per the party constitution based on the view of the party’s central Majlish-e-Shura members. So the claim of any such internal feud or party Ameer’s ‘under fire’ position is completely irrelevant and bogus.

As a matter of fact, no meet was held on last 10th December about the formation of any committee. Under such circumstances, there is no motive behind publishing this false report except creating confusion. This ill effort is an ill effort to materialize the conspiracy of the authoritarian government. There is no room for making such propaganda inside Jamaat-e-Islami as it had never before as well as not in future. So, the published report in Daily Jugantor is nothing but a false report manipulated by the concerned reporter.

As Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami became the worst victim of government’s ill conspiracy, under such a situation, attempt for searching any negotiation effort with the government is ridiculous and malicious endeavor.

I am urging the authority of Daily Jugantor to be refrained from publishing such baseless report against Jamaat-e-Islami and expecting that they would publish this rejoinder properly to lessen the mass confusion.”
